General Solutions of Space Fractional Fisher’s Nonlinear Diffusion Equation
In this paper, we develop a framework to obtain exact solutions to Fisher’s nonlinear diffusion equation by using the modified Adomian’s decomposition method. Some examples are provided to verify the effectiveness of the method. The new modification introduces a promising tool for many linear and nonlinear models.
متن کاملSolutions of diffusion equation for point defects
An analytical solution of the equation describing diffusion of intrinsic point defects in semiconductor crystals has been obtained for a one-dimensional finite-length domain with the Robin-type boundary conditions. The distributions of point defects for different migration lengths of defects have been calculated. The exact analytical solution was used to verify the approximate numerical solutio...
متن کاملAn Implicit Difference-ADI Method for the Two-dimensional Space-time Fractional Diffusion Equation
Fractional order diffusion equations are generalizations of classical diffusion equations which are used to model in physics, finance, engineering, etc. In this paper we present an implicit difference approximation by using the alternating directions implicit (ADI) approach to solve the two-dimensional space-time fractional diffusion equation (2DSTFDE) on a finite domain. Consistency, unconditi...
متن کاملRegularity of Solutions to a Time-Fractional Diffusion Equation
The paper proves estimates for the partial derivatives of the solution to a time-fractional diffusion equation, posed over a bounded spatial domain. Such estimates are needed for the analysis of effective numerical methods, particularly since the solution is less regular than in the well-known case of classical diffusion.
متن کاملFinite Element Solutions for the Space Fractional Diffusion Equation with a Nonlinear Source Term
and Applied Analysis 3 Baeumer et al. 8, 13 have proved existence and uniqueness of a strong solution for 1.2 using the semigroup theory when f x, t, u is globally Lipschitz continuous. Furthermore, when f x, t, u is locally Lipschitz continuous, existence of a unique strong solution has also been shown by introducing the cut-off function. Finite difference methods have been studied in 14–16 fo...
